His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court, has attended the opening ceremony of the World Utilities Congress 2024, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, and taking place at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi until 18 September 2024.
His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan was accompanied, during this visit, by His Excellency Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure; His Excellency Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, Minister of Investment; His Excellency Eng Awaidha Murshed Al Marar, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy; Her Excellency Sara Awadh Musallam, Chairperson of Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge; and His Excellency Mansoor Ibrahim Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi.
His Excellency toured the exhibition and reviewed the latest energy and utility technologies, as well as innovative solutions showcased by the sector’s leading local and international companies.
His Excellency visited a number of pavilions and affirmed the importance of fostering global collaboration in the utilities sector to address pressing challenges related to water and energy sustainability, highlighting the UAE’s commitment to pioneering innovative solutions that ensure a resilient and efficient future for global utilities.
His Excellency also underscored the significance of leveraging technological advancements and international partnerships to enhance the adaptability and reliability of water and electricity services, both in the UAE and worldwide.
The World Utilities Congress 2024, hosted by Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) and organised by dmg events, serves as a key platform for decision-makers, innovators and industry leaders to discuss the future of the utilities sector. The event underpins Abu Dhabi’s role in driving global dialogue and collaboration on sustainable utilities.
Bringing together more than 12,000 global professionals from across the power and water utilities value chain under the theme ‘Enabling a Secure and Sustainable Utilities Future’, the third edition of the congress is highlighting the latest technologies, research advancements, technical services and product solutions that are driving the future of the industry.
The event features more than 110 sessions, more than 280 global speakers, 10 energy and water ministers and more than 1,400 conference delegates.source
