Dr. Firas is a PhD holder in Environmental Engineering & Renewable Energy with a focus on Energy Conservation and three Masters Degrees (Mechanical Engineering | Construction Management & Construction Laws | Renewable Energy) with over 20 years of experience in the construction field as both chief operations director and energy expert and climate change, having worked both for academia and the private sector, in the Middle East and Africa.

Dr Firas has joined ICON in the capacity of Head of Environmental Department and SME in Sustainability and Climate Change, laying the foundations for the new department. As Head of Environmental Department, he is responsible for leading the environmental team of specialist engineers, inspectors and technical staff.
