Khaled Abdulmajeed Al Tamimi is the Manager of Sewerage and Recycled Water Projects within Dubai Municipality’s Sewerage, Stormwater, and Recycled Water Projects Directorate. In this role, Khaled leads a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects, overseeing the development, management, and financial oversight of critical initiatives aligned with Dubai’s sustainability goals. His portfolio includes the Dubai Strategic Sewerage Tunnel (DSST) and the AED 4 billion Warsan Waste Management Company (WWMC) project, among other key infrastructure developments.
Khaled’s leadership is instrumental in the strategic planning and execution of Dubai’s AED 110 billion Centennial Infrastructure Vision, encompassing projects focused on sewerage, stormwater, and recycled water. He has played a pivotal role in driving initiatives like the AED 30 billion Tasreef project which will enhance the capacity of Dubai’s rainwater drainage system by 700%.
Before assuming his current position, Khaled served as a Water Projects Engineer at TRANSCO, Abu Dhabi, where he led several innovative case studies focused on optimizing costs and improving system efficiency. Throughout his career, Khaled has demonstrated a strong ability to lead cross-functional teams, engage stakeholders, and ensure projects adhere to regulatory and sustainability standards.
Khaled holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology in the USA. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP), and Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP), with additional certifications in pipeline lifecycle extension strategies and operational excellence.
