Umar Farooq is Executive Director at Dubai Holding Investments and is responsible for the M&A transactions, joint venture and management of a diversified portfolio spread across real estate, telecom and infrastructure. One of key projects in his portfolio is Warsan WtE where he has been involved since the feasibility stage and has remained closely connected since then. He represents Dubai Holding, the single largest shareholder in the project, on managers committee and has played a key role in achieving COD on 01-Aug. Umar is passionate about real estate and during his career, he has been involved in the planning and assessment of marque real estate projects in Dubai and structuring and negotiation of landmark partnerships.
