Dr. Muhammad Wakil Shahzad is an Associate Professor at Northumbria University in the United Kingdom and the founder and CEO of EcoTechX Limited. He specializes in heating and cooling, water generation, and converting solar energy to alternative energy resources. Dr. Shahzad has received numerous international accolades, including the ASHRAE Innovation Award in 2024, the Institution of Engineering and Technology UK Excellence and Innovation Award in 2023, and the Global Innovation Award in Water in 2020. He holds 11 international patents and has an extensive publication record with 4 books, 22 book chapters, 105 peer-reviewed journal papers, and over 110 conference papers. Additionally, he serves as a STEM ambassador, the IMechE Chair for North East UK, and the Chair for the Chartered Engineer panel.
