Dr. Tarifa A. Al Zaabi is the Director General of the International Center for Biosaline Agriculture (ICBA). With over 20 years of executive and leadership experience in higher education and agricultural research, she promotes sustainable agricultural development and food system transformation through capacity development, women and youth engagement, and agripreneurship.

Dr. Tarifa has launched several initiatives such as ICBA’s Youth Engagement Society (ICBA YES) and the Arab Women Leaders in Agriculture (AWLA) fellowship program.

Dr. Alzaabi has represented ICBA at major international conferences, including the G20 summit and the FAO's Global 24-hour Digital Marathon: Food for Earth.

Prior to ICBA, she served as Director of Dubai Women’s College and has been recognized with several awards, including the Emirates Women Award 2020 for Best Career Achievements. She holds a Ph.D. in Education from the British University of Dubai and an Executive MBA from the University of Sharjah.
