Nawied Jabarkhyl is a Director at APCO, and Head of International Media Relations at the global communications advisory firm. In his role, he advises government leaders, corporate clients, and senior executives on strategic communications and media relations strategies.
He previously spent 12 years as a journalist, broadcaster and news presenter working for some of the world’s largest media organisations in the UK, Europe and Middle East.
Prior to joining APCO, Nawied was a News Anchor & Correspondent at international news network CGTN in London. He was Reuters’ TV Correspondent in the Middle East and UK from 2016-2019, and spent time as a Producer at CNN International in Abu Dhabi after a role as Senior Reporter and Newsreader at Gulf News Broadcasting.
Having covered major events, Nawied has reported on wars in Ukraine and Afghanistan; on terror attacks in London; from the World Economic Forum in Davos; the COP26 Climate Summit in Glasgow; and was given exclusive access inside Saudi oil giant Aramco ahead of its IPO.
He’s interviewed some of the world’s leading decision-makers and names, including UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, Formula-1 driver Lewis Hamilton, and the heads of the World Trade Organization, IMF, and International Energy Agency.

Nawied Jabarkhyl holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism from the London College of Communication and a First-Class Honours Degree in Politics & Social Policy from the University of York in the UK. He is based in Dubai.
