Dr. Eng. Adnan Al Hosani is the Director of the Electricity and Energy Trade Department at the UAE’s Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, where he leads national and international electricity trade strategies, interconnection projects, and regulatory initiatives. With over 26 years of experience in the energy sector, he brings expertise in electricity market development, infrastructure planning, and operational management.

Previously, he served for 23 years at the Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority (SEWA) in key leadership roles, including Technical Advisor and Director of the SEWA Monitoring and Control Center. He has played a pivotal role in major energy projects, including the UAE Electricity Interconnection Project and regional energy collaborations.

Dr. Al Hosani actively contributes to international energy cooperation through engagements with the Gulf Cooperation Council, the Arab Electricity Interconnection, and UAE-India energy initiatives. His leadership continues to drive the UAE’s efforts in advancing sustainable energy infrastructure and global partnerships.
