Fatima Al Muhairbi is a Senior Specialist in Behavioral Change and Awareness at the Department of Energy – Abu Dhabi, bringing over eight years of specialized experience in sustainability, energy efficiency, and demand-side management. She has played a key role in designing and implementing public awareness programs focused on promoting responsible energy and water consumption, aligned with the Abu Dhabi Demand Side Management and Energy Rationalization Strategy 2030.
Her work has contributed significantly to improving resource efficiency across residential, governmental, and institutional sectors. Fatima has also demonstrated strong leadership through her role as Chairperson of the Youth Council at the Department of Energy from 2021 to 2023, where she focused on empowering youth and integrating them into national sustainability efforts.
In addition to her professional responsibilities, she is an active member of the Youth 4 Sustainability (Y4S) initiative and has participated in several advanced programs, including the MasterClass in Behavioral Science & Nudge, the B.E. Wiser Program in applied behavioral science, and a specialized program on Carbon and Sustainability.
Fatima is widely regarded as a committed advocate for environmental responsibility and behavioral change. Her work supports the development of impactful policies and initiatives that advance the UAE’s sustainability agenda and foster a culture of conscious resource consumption.
