Ennis manages the Catalyst MENA renewable energy / climate infrastructure funds. He has been a climate and renewable energy investor since 2006, building on a US technology entrepreneurship and manufacturing background, and passion for impact.

Ennis is the Founder and Managing Director of Catalyst Investment Management (CIM), a climate impact investment manager beginning with an energy and water technology (climate tech) fund in 2006, then in 2016 launching the Catalyst MENA Clean Energy Fund backed by EU Government investors, and by end of 2023 launching the Catalyst MENA Climate Fund 2, one of the first at the nexus of Climate and Gender. www.catalystpe.com

Previously, Ennis was the co-founder and CEO of Estarta Solutions, currently employing over 1,000 engineers primarily in MENA, primarily serving EU clients. Ennis led a merger and turnaround to create Estarta, from inception in 2002 including the investments by Microsoft and Cisco Systems. In 1997 he had founded and led ONEWORLD Software Solutions in Boston (offices in San Diego, San Francisco, Amman, and Beijing), the first US software services company with technology centers in China and Jordan.

Ennis’ career began at Ford Motor Company, including leading manufacturing in a best practices Ford Motor Company JV in automotive plastics, designed jointly with McKinsey & Company.

Ennis is a board member of several international regulated investment entities including Ajeej Capital ($1B AUM in Dubai), Relational.ai (US), Tamweelcom Micro-Fund, and Catalyst’s climate funds’ portfolio (EU and MENA).

Ennis is a co-founder of the regional MIT Alumni Association, founding member of EDAMA, a member of the World Economic Forum Young Global Leaders Alumni, and interested in blockchain based climate initiatives.

Ennis graduated from MIT in 1991 in Engineering Systems, and later a dual masters from the MIT Sloan School of Management and Environmental Engineering in 1996 (LFM Program).
