Dr. Abdulla Al Nuaimi is a recognized expert in radioactive waste management and nuclear sustainability, currently serving as the Radioactive Waste Technical Expert at the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) in the UAE. With over a decade of experience in the nuclear energy sector, Dr. Al Nuaimi has led numerous strategic initiatives to enhance waste treatment, regulatory alignment, and international benchmarking. His work has been pivotal in shaping the UAE’s Integrated Waste Strategy and advancing innovative solutions such as incineration and advanced characterization technologies for radioactive materials.

In addition to his technical role, Dr. Al Nuaimi is the President of the Barakah Youth Council, where he champions youth engagement, professional development, and leadership within the nuclear industry. He is also an Executive Board member to the American Nuclear Society – UAE Chapter.  As the youngest PhD holder in his field, he represents the UAE in international forums, including the IAEA, NEA, and IYNC, and was honored with the UAE Pride Award for his outstanding contributions. His mission is to position the UAE as a global leader in sustainable nuclear energy while empowering the next generation of nuclear professionals.
