Adri Pols is CEO of Desolenator, an innovative water technology company providing decentralised clean and safe water solutions using solar energy,geothermal or waste heat. Desolenator turns the most complex water sources (seawater, heavy-metal contaminated), into drinking water, without membranes or harmful brine waste. Prior to joining Desolenator, he was CEO of BOAL Group, a globally leading sustainable supplier in Controlled Environment Agriculture with revenues of $250M+.
Mr. Pols has extensive experience in commercial and strategic leadership positions with a passion for sustainability. Pols has been acting at the vanguard of the energy transition, moving from green electricity retailing, solar power and biofuels generation to the vital component of energy storage.
Mr. Pols has lived and worked in three continents for start-ups, scale-ups and corporates (Shell, TAQA, GE and BCG). He speaks 5 languages and holds two Master’s degrees from Twente University of Technology in the Netherlands, one of which cum laude.
