Hubert Sobora is a Core Member of the Energy Practice at Boston Consulting Group, specializing in the Power and Utilities sector.With nearly a decade at BCG, he has led major strategy and transformation programs for power and water companies across Europe and the Middle East, working with both governments and private entities to shape sector-wide strategies, enhance operational efficiency, and integrate innovation into infrastructure.

Hubert’s expertise covers the entire water value chain—from desalination, transmission, and distribution to efficient use and water reuse—as well as governance, policies, regulations, and strategy development. He has worked on multiple projects focused on improving resource management and infrastructure planning, leveraging innovation and strengthening collaboration both within the water sector and across other sectors.

Hubert focuses on integrating innovation into water strategies, fostering collaboration between industries such as agriculture, energy, and food, and supporting investment in smart infrastructure and emerging technologies. He has helped build partnerships that connect businesses, policymakers, and research institutions to drive impact at scale.

In addition to his work in the water sector, he has advised power and utilities companies on a wide range of topics. Before joining BCG, he worked in the power and utilities industry in Central and Eastern Europe, focusing on wholesale portfolio management and trading strategies. He holds a Master’s degree in Power Engineering from the Warsaw University of Technology.
