Dr. Steven Griffiths is Professor and Vice Chancellor for Research at the American University of Sharjah (AUS), overseeing the university's research strategic directions and operations. Dr. Griffiths has a global profile in the energy sector, including his role as a Global Energy Prize International Award Committee member and Editorial Board Member and Associate Editor for leading journals that include Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, Smart Energy, Energy Strategy Reviews and Carbon Neutral Technologies. He is also a non-resident Fellow at the Payne Institute for Public Policy.
