He began his professional career in April 1997 when he joined Tokyo Electric Power Co., Inc.. In March 2013, he was seconded to PE Wheatstone Pty Ltd, and in October 2014 he served as Senior Manager in LNG Group II, Marketing & Sales Department II at Japan Petroleum Exploration Co., Ltd.. In May 2016, he joined JERA Co., Inc. as Senior Manager in the Planning and Optimization Group, later becoming General Manager of the Trading Business Development Unit within the Optimization Group, Corporate Strategy Department in July 2016. He continued as General Manager of the North American Trading Business Development Unit in July 2017, and in April 2019 he was appointed General Manager of the Trading Business Development Unit under the Short-term Optimization Group, Optimization Department. In June 2019, he became President of JERA Energy America LLC, followed by his appointment as Chief Strategy Officer at JERA Americas Holdings Inc. in August 2021. In July 2023, he took on the role of Executive Officer and Head of the Platform Business Division at JERA, while also being appointed Director of Summit Power International Limited and Aboitiz Power Corporation in August 2023. Since April 2024, he has been serving as Managing Executive Officer, Chief Executive Officer of JERA Asia Pte. Ltd., and Head of the Platform Business Division at JERA.

He holds a Master of Business Administration in Global Management with a Finance concentration from Thunderbird School of Global Management, Arizona State University (May 2009) and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Ritsumeikan University (March 1997).
