Esam Al Murawwi is Chief Projects Officer at TAQA Transmission and a senior energy and infrastructure executive with more than 17 years of experience in major capital investment and strategic infrastructure development. He leads a portfolio of projects valued at more than USD 15 billion, supporting Abu Dhabi’s long-term energy strategy and the development of resilient and sustainable transmission infrastructure.

His expertise spans major capital programs, infrastructure governance, risk management, operational transformation, and digital enablement. Esam also serves on the boards of the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC), Abu Dhabi Offshore Power Transmission Company (ADOPT), and Mirfa Seawater Treatment and Supply (MSTS).

He holds an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Khalifa University and a B.Sc. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from the American University of Sharjah, with a minor in Engineering Management. He is a Certified Director accredited by Hawkamah Institute for Corporate Governance and a Project Management Professional (PMP).
