Mr. Al Ramahi is the Chief Executive Officer of Masdar, a world-leading renewable energy company active in over 40 countries.
In this position, he spearheads the company’s development and strategic direction as it plays a critical role in advancing the global energy transition.
Under his leadership, Masdar has become one of the fastest growing clean energy companies in the world, with investments in projects that have a combined gross value of $20 billion and a generation capacity of 15 gigawatts of electricity.
Prior to his appointment as CEO, Mr. Al Ramahi held a number of executive positions with Masdar, including Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. In addition to his role as CEO, Mr. Al Ramahi serves on several boards and committees, including as a Board Director of Masdar, as Chair of the Masdar Investment Committee; and as a member of the Board of Directors for Shuaa Energy 2 PSC, the company developing phase 3 of Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park in Dubai; Mubadala Health; Emirates Waste to Energy Company; and the Catalyst.
He is also an active member of the French Business Group, Australian Business Group, the US-UAE Business Council, and serves as Vice-Chair of the Global Council on Sustainable Development Goals and as a member of the Sustainable Markets Initiative Taskforce for Energy Transition.
Mr. Al Ramahi holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Evansville in the United States.
